Ahh, there are times when life takes a turn and one is left, for a minute, or two, a little lost; we lose focus. BUT, if your faith rests in He who created you, in His son, whom you have declared as your savior, in the glorious triune Jehovah – then one knows that one is truly not lost. When one calls upon our Abba, our Father, He not only hears, He will answer, for what Father will do any less than attend to the needs of his child.
He knows what is best for each of His children and He will guide our every footstep, our every thought, and if we only but listen to his answer to our cry, we will be better than ok – we will be safe under his wings. We will rejoice in the work of his hands.
Father, there is not a day or night that goes by that I do not call on your name. I just thank you for giving me your word that you are my Father and that you love me and are always here for me. I take such great comfort in you and knowing that I am truly never lost. I am sheltered under your wings, covered in your shadow. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

This may be long for some of you, but I shall not apologize, for my spirit tells me that someone is in despair and is in need of healing. I pray that you may read this so that you may be healed according to God’s divine will for your life. If you feel that your healing is out of reach, I tell you this day – Expect a miracle! Pray and stand in His word. We serve a God who is able! Amen! If you have been healed by the grace of God, give your testimony so that others may grab hold to what He gives so freely!
The three main areas where we hurt are in finances, in love and in health. So I ask: Are you sick? Are you in financial despair? Are you brokenhearted? If you are need of healing in any of these areas, know that you have a God whose word is truth and whose promises are binding. Isaiah 55: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. I truly believe that if you pray in His word, God’s promise to us, as spoken in Isaiah 55: 11, will manifest itself in your life. Continue reading →
A few weeks ago I was so ill, I thought I was dying. As I lay on my bed thinking this must be my end, I did as Job did, I prayed for my children and my grandchildren, thinking “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” I wanted all to be well with them should this be my time to enter into God’s glory. It wasn’t my time, and during and after my recovery, I rejoiced in God’s goodness, especially His mercy.
The last few weeks have been tough for a lot of us in the Houston Metroplex area. We have had to deal with Hurricane IKE and its aftermath. But, in all the circumstance of Hurricane IKE, God showed His mercy. For all that Hurricane IKE was, it could have been worse. I recalled Philippians 4: 4 – 7 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Continue reading →
Last week, while praying the Lord’s Prayer, I began to associate different pieces of Scripture with each phrase. I hope you enjoy these verses as I did in searching and selecting them. Again, my hope, and my prayer is that these pieces of Scripture – of the Bible – of God’s Word, allow you to draw nearer to Him so that He may draw nearer to you.
Romans 8: 15 -17 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Continue reading →
I learned last night that two of my family members died. One mature in age, the other young by today’s standards. It made me think.
We are so busy living we sometimes forget we have to die, and unlike those in the Bible’s Old Testament who lived to be hundreds of years old, life is still short. James 4: 14 You who say today or tomorrow we will [do this or that] …Why you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. WHAT IS YOUR LIFE? You are but a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
Physical death (unless you are one of the fortunate ones to be caught up in the Rapture) will come to each of us. It is like the second coming of Christ; we do not know the day, the hour, nor the time, but it shall surely come. Are you prepared? Are you afraid of dying? If your number rolled this day, do you know with certainty where your soul shall rest for eternity? The choice is Heaven or Hell. Are you prepared? Continue reading →
